I win?

So I was pretty upset with myself this morning because I didn't feel I had done a proper job of studying for my exam today. After taking the exam I thought I had done great. So either the exam was too easy, or I know the material better than I give myself credit for.

So far Boston has been amazing! Shira and I have spent the day wandering around the city all day. We hopped on a revolutionary tour and that was pretty sweet; the guide was great. We got lunch at Fanuiel Hall. Had some delicious clam chowder, yum, yum.

Can't wait till dinner, gunna eat in the North End.

Counting down...

I'm done packing, at least I think I am. I hope I'm not forgetting anything. I have my clothing, towel, my camera and charger, and my phone and charger. I'm pretty sure those are the essentials. I also have two pairs of nitrile gloves because you never know when there'll be an emergency. I'm pretty sure that covers everything

Now I just have to get class over with. I finished everything I planned on doing except for the short paper I had to write. It's no big deal though. It's a short article I have to read and then write a one page paper on it. I can do that Sunday night after I get back. It'll be cake.

I have to be at the bus station at 5pm so if I have to take public transportation, I'm not gunna take any chances and I'm going to catch the bus from my house at 3pm. If everything goes smoothly, I'll be in chinatown with at the very least 30mins to spare, so I'll walk around chinatown, get some food and be ready to go. Ideally, this will be the case.

It'll be worth it in the end

I'm in for a looong afternoon in the library. I have a bunch of reading and writing to do, all of which I would rather be putting off. However, in order to maximize my quality time in Boston, I can't very well go there with work left to be done!

So, I have a chapter and a half to read, two mandatory articles to read, one of which I hve to write a paper on, and one optional article that I may put off until Monday morning.

I've decided I'm going to take Fung Wah bus company to Boston. Www.fungwahbus.com It'll only be $30 roundtrip., a steal compared to the 60 greyhound wants. I leave from Chinatown, NYC and arrive in South Station in Boston. It'll be a four-hour trip or so andI'm planning on leaving at five. Shira, I hope that won't be too late. I haven't bought the tickets yet because I didn't want todo it on a public computer. I'll buy them once I get home.

I'm super excited; I can't wait!!

And now to stop procrastinating and get to work, I bid you adieu. ::bows and retreats out of sight::

Slasher

This dream eas really wierd. It started out like a really bad slasher movie, there was a topless girl looking out her second story window and seeing one of her housemates stumbling to the door. The next thing you know, a crazy fuck is running around the housecutting throats left and right. One girl somehow ended up on a large microwave... Weird. The slasher then goes to the back door and can't get out. The house has a boimetric/code based lock system, but it's not redundant, either method will open the door.

I've seen everything thus far in third person, now I'm inside the killer trying to find the code out. He somehow became a little boy the mother(who apparently was not horribly killed) calls back to him saying that the code is visible for the blind son in the family. That's when the killer notices the braille (mind, I'm still seeing through his eyes), he punches in the code and bursts out the door running like hell. Now it gets really weird... It turned into a WoW fight. I'm no longer inside his head, Im a Tauren warrior (why warrior? Honestly, a Druid would have been better, considering the fleeing foe) I charge him and start attacking, he's stunned for a moment and then flees again, bit not before I manage to hamstring him. The end of thebdream, I think I ended up killing him, but I'm not sure. I woke up, after all.

Now, back to sleep. I appologized for my typing and quite possibly my incoherence. Goodnight.

One way, please...

Decided that I'm going to push my trip to Boston up a few weeks so that I can spend more than a day there.

Originally I had planned to go up on the 27th, stay the 28th and come back for the Totally Normal Event on the 29th (I think those are the right dates, but I could be off by a day or two). Even though any time spent with Shira is always a great time(going to normal event with her and others), I wanted to spend a fair amount of time exploring Boston, and one day just would not have been enough. Now I'll visit this weekend AND go to normal event! This plan wins.

Anyway, tomorrow is gunna be a busy day, lots to do. I have to read two chapters of anthro, read an article and write a reaction paper on it and get greyhound tickets to Boston. I don't want any work hanging over my head this weekend.

Alright, good night everyone!

The livejournal application for the iPhone has been updated and now I can post to communities, not just to my journal! I can also input my location and music, which I couldn't before. Soon I'll be able to change my userpic as well!

Also today, I joined Twitter. For those of you who may not know what it is, it's a quick easy way to keep people posted on what you're up to. Kinda like a facebook status, but you can text your message to twitter and it'll update it. Pretty cool. Now I just need people to join me. I know you all care about me so much that you want to know what I'm up to 24/7, I know you do!

Anyway, goodnight for real.

Aren't you supposed to remember them after you wake up, if you remember them at all?
Great Success!

I'm pretty sure I passed my test with flying colors. It was a lot easier than what I was expecting and I was sure about everything on the test.

The last part of the test was a 25 point question with no right or wrong answer. It gave a little background on this artifact found at a Neandertal dig site that no one knows what it was used for. Our job was to come up with a possible use for the object using facts from our lecture notes and readings. At first I was a little overwhelmed, but as I started to write things down, I was flooded with possibilities. So I'm hoping I did a good job on that one.

So, enough anthropology for today.

WoW milestones

So, I was brushing my teeth, thinking about the new characters I just started, when suddenly it hit me. I start a new character after every milestone I hit in wow.

Mokiyama (the first one) I leveled to 42 at which point I finally had enough money for my mount. As soon as I rode around on that kodo for a little bit I got tired of moki and decided to role a Mage. It was an undead Mage which I used to get used to the class until burning crusade was released so I could role a blood elf Mage. That belf Mage was Jadaar, and I got him to 60. Lvl 60 and Outland was his milestone.

I quit wow for a year after jadaar and came back alliance side and roled Feorra, a Draenei Mage. I got her all the way to 70 and got her flying mount, the engineering roflcopter, lol, but now I'm tired of her.

I'm thinking that the next milestone will be an epic flying mount, but hopefully by the time I get the gold for that, I'll be settled in with a guild and at the very least be raiding kara.

That's the plan anyway. believe, was nice enough to send me a realm warming gift in the mail. 10g and a set of assorted bags are the perfect way to start a new character! Yay for bags! Thanks!

I don't want to go feral, but I think I will until I have enough talent points to spec boomkin. Hopefully, now that I've made it once, I can get the new moki to 70 in about a month. I have 13 days /played on feorra, we'll see if I can't improve on that. I also need to decide whether to go mining/engineering or herb/alch. I'm thinking the latter. Free pots are nice, plus, if the rumors are true, I'll be set to pick up inscription once wrath of the lich king comes out.

Anyway, enough of that for now. Good night.

Horde is where the heart is...

I started a druid named Mokiyama (same name as my first druid, I really like it and it fits a Tauren) on Archimonde today. Haven't lvled him or anything, I just ran around a bit...but as I looked at the back of Moki and the surrounding greenery of Mulgore, I felt...at home. Horde is definitely where I belong.

Blah! (WoW content ahead)

I've hit a road block. I just hit 70 on my Draenei Mage. My very first 70. Now, I'm totally lost and without any sort of direction. I got my first engineering flying mount and engineering epic headpiece, but that's it. I have no idea what to do next.

I've tried instancing, but getting a group together is like pulling teeth, there's no one on the LFG interface, the guilds that are recruitin are looking for kara ready people, and everyone else is doing heroics. I don't want to dothe pvp grind to get into raids.

That being said, I've lost my interest in both my Mage and the alliance. My heart has always been with the horde. I have a thing for the outcasts/underdogs and the horde definitely fits that nicely. This Mage has been my first high lvl alliance toon and the alliance just isn't right for me. I definitely feel like I've wasted a lot of time on her (yes, it's a female toon). I wanna play horde again on a more active server. I have a love affair with casters, I've always loved them, but I don't want to be stuck tailoring again, and despite what people may say otherwise, those bop tailoring epics are way too good to pass up.

So, what is it I should do now. I posted on the worldofwarcraft community about my being lost situation, we'll see what they say. In the mean time, I'm gunna find a new server and start a horde toon. I don't know what class to play. I know I don't want a Mage again. I also know that for the most part I don't want any other squishies. I hate hunters, but I'll consider them if only because they're fast to lvl and are great for farming at 70, definitely don't want a hunter as my main. That leaves warriors, paladins, rogues, Druids, and shamans. I tried lvling a warrior before and I really don't wanna do it again. I wouldn't mind a pally, I kinda like they're multi-mob tanking, but I don't really wanna play a blood elf. I have a Druid at lvl 45. I can't motivate myself to lvl him anymore, ditto for the 60 BE Mage. I don't wanna lvl another one (Druid) either. Shaman is an alright class. It was a mistake to pick the shaman as my first toon ever. I guess I wouldn't mind trying themagain, but they're not very mana efficient. That leaves rogues. Having lvled two mages to/passed lvl60, I hate rogues. They piss me off like you would not believe. I really don't know if I could bring myself to play one.

Basically, there is no class that I'm dying to play. I want to keep playing the game, but I'm lost with no direction.
